Healthy GREATER Bendigo Forum: Hungry for healthy communities

Showcasing food-related initiatives contributing towards a healthier Greater Bendigo community and planning for the future

Description

There’s so much happening with food in Greater Bendigo, from growing, sharing, cooking and selling, to educating and of course, eating!

Join local government, local health agencies, community organisations/groups and interested individuals to learn about what’s happening in the food space in Greater Bendigo, network and connect with others working in this space, contribute to the development of the Greater Bendigo Healthy Food System Strategy, and help shape the future of the Healthy GREATER Bendigo initiative.

The event features Stephanie Alexander, founder of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation. Stephanie will discuss “creating a kitchen garden community” A Q&A will be followed by a book signing opportunity for her newest book, The Cook’s Apprentice, essential for the younger cook who’s just starting out.

We want to hear from everyone about all things FOOD! What great work are you doing? What ideas do you have?

All attendees are invited to bring a poster to showcase the work their group / organisation is undertaking or planning to support a better food system in Greater Bendigo and our region. Poster templates are available here, or design your own!
