Spring Plain - Flight

The centenary of the first Australian made aeroplane to fly in 1910, the Duigan aeroplane, was  celebrated in July 2010, at nearby Mia Mia where the Spring Plains property was located.  The district was where the Duigan brother built the plane was built and  where the early flights took place.  A monument now celebrates this wonderful place of aviation history.
