The traditional Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture being held since 1810, a tradition that has long been celebrated all over the world. The Munich Die Weisen attracts over 6 million people each year. 

It has been a full 6 years since Tooborac Hotel & Brewery launched its first OkTOOBerfest. Each year we host families, groups, and friends to all celebrate German tradition, craft beer and all things local. 

“There is something for everyone here at the festival. We offer a jumping castle and fun filled activities for the kids, a wide range of craft beer for the adults and live music for everyone to enjoy” said owner Valerie Carlin. 

“We can’t forget our limited-edition German inspired brew” said head brewer Pete Martin, who is celebrating his third OkTOOBerfest at the Tooborac Hotel. “This beer is only offered once a year so make sure you come and have a stein or two”. 

The venue will set up with the band on stage, brewery on show, outdoor food facilities and a children’s area. Kicking off at 11am on Saturday the 28th of OkTOOBer, tickets available online or at the gate. All adult tickets include your 0.5 or 1 litre stein filled with delicious Tooborac craft beer and children under 5 are free. 

On the day, a total of 9 craft beers will be offered on tap between our indoor and outdoor bars with plenty in the fridge for you to take home. Tooborac offers a wide range of award winning brews such as our Shearer’s lager, Stonemason’s pale ale, Gunslingers American pale ale, Woodcutter’s amber ale, Blacksmith’s porter, seasonal delights and our new Mid-Strength Traveller.

Oktooberfest Transport - 

A small bus will be running by the Tooborac Hotel staff. All booking must be paid for upon your reservation (prior to the day). To local towns ONLY (Heathcote, Seymour, Kilmore, Pyalong, Lancefield). $10 per head price (return), minimum of 2 people per trip. Buses will be running to Broadford, Wallan and Wandong for $15 per head with a minimum booking of 4 people. Please call the hotel on 5433 5201 for your booking.
