We’re excited to announce that energetic band This Way North return to The Shiraz Republic on Sunday, 27th of January with support from Grim Fawkner.

It’s easy to forget that This Way North are a two-piece band. Drummer/vocalist Cat Leahy and guitarist/vocalist Leisha Jungalwalla create a uniquely full, expansive sound that translates effortlessly from the studio to the stage. Currently, of no fixed address, the Australian girls are enjoying life on the road, but one thing is evident their sound: their home is on the stage. Whether in a local dive bar or at an international festival, This Way North plays with more passion and energy than a 10-piece band, drumming up a contagious euphoria. Big, rhythmic, spacious and saturated with summer, they invite you to turn up the volume and let loose.

Local legend Grim Fawkner’s music is fresh and unique enough to set it apart, yet with enough pop sensibility that it is accessible by all music appreciators.

As always, you can expect some great food, great wines and great beers on tap for you to relax and enjoy in our spacious cellar door. Make use of our free pool tables, inside and out and plenty of picnic tables & couches for you to relax, unwind and enjoy good conversations at The Shiraz Republic.
