Café for a Day connects young people (aged 15-24) living in Kangaroo Flat and surrounding areas with local chefs to learn about cooking, healthy eating, retail, food and work skills through through preparing a meal and serving it through a café space.
Participants can also undertake their Food Handling course free of charge in the lead-up to the program. Details to come.

Description
There is ONE REMAINING PUBLIC SESSION Wednesday 13 April (Salvation Army Gravel Hill kitchen with chef Jason Newton). Please select the date above.
Over the course of a day, participants will prepare, cook and serve a yummy dish in a retail setting under the guidance of expert local chefs – to help them pick up valuable food and work-related skills they can use later in life.
Keen to get some hands on experience in the kitchen? We’d love you to get involved!
This program is targeted at young people aged 15-24.
Participants must show proof of double-vaccination prior to taking part in the program.
This program is supported by Bendigo Foodshare, Kangaroo Flat Community House, Healthy Heart of Victoria, Yo Bendigo, Hoo-gah café, and Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services' Friday Food Safari.
