Noonameena rests on the shores of Lake Eppalock near Redesdale in the heart of the Heathcote wine region in Central Victoria. Noonameena is an indigenous word meaning ‘Our Bush Resting Place’ and it is exactly that. A peaceful, quiet and tranquil 20 acre property that offers the creature comforts of a brand new, open plan home and access to the waters of Lake Eppalock.

John and Kym provide child and pet friendly accommodation with two bedrooms, each with ensuite that can be booked individually or the whole house can be enjoyed if requested. Full kitchen, laundry and dining facilities are provided with gated access to the water, ideal for boating enthusiasts or those who love to fish or paddle in the calm waters of the river and the lake. Pooches are welcome with a secure fenced area connected to the house.

‘Noons’ is the first Strawbale home in the world to be built to the Low Energy Passive House standard, offering high levels of thermal comfort, clean fresh air all year round and internal temperatures between 20-25 degrees 90% of the time; all this with no added heating or cooling. John provides consulting services to anyone interested in how to create your Passive home, so a stay at Noon’s is wonderful way to feel, touch and experience how a thermally efficient home can be before you decide if it is for you. The first night’s stay is free if you decide to work with John on your project.
