Updated info Donkey Tales is your city escape with a difference!
The property boasts 16 acres of treed rural farmland, yours to explore and enjoy! Just sitting outside, listening to the wind in the trees, is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.
Admire the many beautiful birds, sometimes kangaroos, koalas and a giant hare! Of course, for something very special, we also have miniature donkeys on the property with you!
You can spend your time with the donkeys, learning what intelligent, friendly, affectionate animals they are. Each has a unique bray and personality. If you walk in the paddock with the donkeys, don’t be surprised if you find them following in line behind you! They are very curious animals and love socialising with guests. Very therapeutic and quite a unique animal, very different to their equine cousins.
We have many books about donkeys, games and DVD’s for quiet time inside the cottages too.
Having the most beautiful eyes that capture your soul and ears that help them not miss a trick, it is so very different to any other kind of farm stay with animals.
There is nothing quite like having a donkey cuddle up to you, just craving your attention. They have the softest muzzles, that touching, is soothing therapy in itself and they simply adore a good rump scratch.
Have you been kissed by a donkey?
You will be sure to depart from you visit, with Donkey Tales of your own, to cherish forever!
Description
They have been styled with an old world charm, but with comforts such as a new modern bathroom with separate toilet, the ambience of a gas log fire, the comfort of split system heating and cooling. You will feel at home, with a full kitchen, a full sized fridge, stove, microwave, pantry and a coffee pod machine!
With only two cottages on the property, each is totally private and separate, but close enough to be convenient for family and friends who wish to holiday together.
Each cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests.
Both cottages overlook the undulating landscape of the property, directly where the donkeys wander in their paddocks. There is also a bench seat in the paddock for you to sit a while and have the donkeys come to you.
A perfect way to reground yourself and unwind from a busy lifestyle, or simply for those who enjoy and appreciate being at one with nature.
There is a large undercover area with a shared BBQ, outdoor table and chairs, so rain, hail, or shine, you can continue with your outdoor activities in comfort.
The property conveniently has a circular driveway and each cottage has its own undercover carport. (If a second car space is required, there are plenty of tucked away places for free parking).
Daisy Hill track is opposite the Lane entrance and a perfect place to go for extended nature walks, or bicycle riding. If you are quiet, you are sure to see wildlife in its natural habitat.
If gold detecting is something that interests you, be sure to speak with Stinky Pete from Detech (he is my husband and I promise he doesn’t smell :} ).
Whatever it is that has caught your attention to read thus far, come visit us and see for yourself. We have excellent reviews from our guests, take great pride in what we offer and try to deliver the very best experience for you.
Your pleasure, is our happiness and sharing our donkeys with you, is our ultimate joy.
