The Castlemaine Jazz Festival on Queen’s Birthday weekend, 5-7 June 2015, is an inclusive event that highlights a wide range of styles and line-ups.

This community festival is entirely run by volunteers, and performers generously offer their talents with no certainty of a financial return. Day and weekend tickets give access to all venues at all scheduled times. There will be a rolling performance program at each venue, with many groups playing across the weekend.

Tickets can be purchased at www.castlemainejazzfestival.com.au or during the festival at the centrally located office in the Ray Bradfield Room, off Mostyn Street, between Victory Park and the IGA Supermarket. The office, which houses the registration desk, serves as a convenient meeting place for all festival-goers.

Program events will be held on the Friday evening and a jam session will be held after each night's program. The jazz genre has a fascinating history – everything from New Orleans and ragtime to bebop, standard ballads, West Coast cool and fusion.

The Castlemaine Jazz Festival is designed to be a people’s event, promoting the performance and appreciation of the music in all its diversity.
