Elmore & District Machinery Field Days is an exhibition where farmers look for good ideas - showcasing the latest machinery, innovation and techniques used in the agricultural industry.

The "Ag Art Wear" Competition is a must see during the field days which is a competition for wearable ‘work of art’ including accessories (hat, handbag, earrings, footwear etc) created from materials and items of an agricultural nature found on a farm. Garments in previous competitions have been made from frost cloth, copper, grain, electric fence tape, beer bottle tops etc. The variety of materials that can be used in the making of something artistic is endless.

The Elmore Events Centre is home to the annual Elmore Field Days in October each year together with a growing range of agricultural and other functions and events. Conveniently situated in north central Victoria this unique venue will soon be an even more valuable facility when the major new development and building plan is completed later in the year to complement the existing facilities on the 154 ha site.

The Shearing Shed on the Elmore Site is always a focus for wool and sheep producers and this year will be no exception with an information packed schedule of events. The five groups in the Elmore Ewes for the Future Trial will be shorn over the three days, commencing with the SAMM team on the Tuesday morning and the Border Leicester –Merino Cross in the afternoon. On the Wednesday the program is the shearing of the Northern Victoria Merinos in the morning and the Centre Plus Merino team in the afternoon. While on the Thursday the Dohne Team’s shearing is scheduled in the morning.
