The Heathcote Community Festival is set to take place on 6th - 7th of March, 2021. 
The festivities will kick off on Saturday 6th of March with the bush market. It will include impressive line up of live music, market stalls, food trucks, and of course, wine tasting!
The beautiful cellar doors at Heathcote will be opened all weekend for you to pop in and visit, whether it be Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. Don't forget, it's a long weekend! 

Here how things on DAY 1, Saturday 6th March will look:
Markets

Bush Market

Time: 8.00am - 1:00pm
Location: Barack Reserve, Heathcote.
Come browse through our market stalls and have the littlies get their face painted! 

Night Market
Time:
Starting from 4pm
Location:
Barack Reserve, Heathcote.
Enjoy wine and beer tasting with delicious food. 
Wine and beer stall holders include tasting from amazing cellar doors such as Munari Wines, Farmer and The Scientist, She Oak Winery, Wren Estate, Domaine Asmara, and Tooborac Hotel.
Food and Drinks options will include: Vietnam Food House, Coffee Van and the Hungry Caterpiller. 
There will also be a children’s entertainer attending the festival at 4pm -5pm by the name of Mr. Blooming. He will sing and tell stories and is located next to the Bendigo Bank face painting marquee

Live Music
Location: Barack Reserve, Heathcote.
Set Times:
4:15pm-4:45pm Mariah McCarthy and Trio play live 
5:00pm-6:30pm- Bonnie Anderson takes to the stage.
6:30pm-8:30pm- That Gold Street Sound play for the final act. 

Please note no glass can be on the oval at any time. There will be dispensation for bottles in the cellar door tents. 

If live music isn't your thing, that's okay, the RSL Hall is also offering a evening of film, screening THE GOOD LIAR and offering a glass of Heathcote wine.

Stick around for the entire weekend and spend your Sunday visiting Heathcote's amazing winery cellar doors. Here is a list of the wineries you can visit, and what they have to offer over the weekend:

Heathcote ll
On both Saturday and Sunday, Heathcote II will have a special lunch event on at their cellar door.
This will be a 3 course fixed menu, a starter, main and dessert. The price is $65 and it includes a glass of our Heathcote II wine.

With limited seating bookings are essential. They do not take 'walk-ins' on the day. Bookings can be purchased on our webshop, on the order page on www.heathcote2.com.
There are two sittings available, 12:15 or 1pm.

They will also be releasing two new wines on that weekend. Myola I 2017 which is 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc, and Myola II 2017 which is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Cabernet Franc. Heathcote II love Bordeaux wines and this our take on the Right Bank and Left Bank wines of Bordeaux.

Opening hours are: 11am to 6pm on Saturday, 10am to 5pm on Sunday and 10am to 5pm on Monday.

Courtyard will be open, weather permitting.

Heathcote women in wine 
The 'Heathcote Women in Wine' Cellar Door Trail is a collaboration of five family owned and operated female-led wineries including Sanguine Estate, Munari Wines, Vinea Marson, Farmer & the Scientist & Silver Spoon Estate, offering unique wine tasting experiences and all within 15 minutes drive of each other.

Commencing only 6 minutes from the Heathcote Visitor Centre or 31 minutes from Bendigo. Showcased amongst these cellar doors are a diverse range of award-winning wines including Heathcote’s world renowned Shiraz, and a plethora of Italian, French and Spanish grape varietals all gaining a lot of attention amongst wine judges. These include Prosecco, Rosé, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Viognier, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Mourvèdre, Tempranillo, Grenache, GSM and other red blends, Cabernets, Merlot and dessert wines

March 5th Evenings at Munari Wines  5pm – 11pm
Picture yourself relaxing in our historic and cosy cellar door, watching the sunset over the vines, and enjoying some family hospitality with a wine in hand! Join the Munari family as they extend the Cellar Door hoping ours for ‘Evenings at Munari Wines’. From 5pm you can enjoy wines by the glass (or bottle!) at bar prices and enjoy a snack or a charcuterie board with your wine. Bookings are essential or walk in’s welcome on the lawn. March 6th Munari at the Market 4pm – 8.30pm
Come on down to the Heathcote Community Festival Night Market at the Barrick Reserve in Heathcote and find Munari Wines serving wine by the glass. Peruse the market, glass in hand and enjoy the live music. No bookings required.

March 7th Funk Junkies at Munari Wines 1.30pm – 3.30pm
Celebrate the long weekend at Munari Wines while listening to LIVE MUSIC from the Funk Junkies. The 7-piece big band from Bendigo will be rocking out to the funkiest grooves from the 70’s and beyond. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the green lawns beside the vines or book a tasting indoors. Charcuterie is available (until sold out)  so reserving your meal with your booking is recommended. Red Edge
Open Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10-5pm daily.

Silver Spoon Estate
Go behind the scenes to sample fermenting, fresh grape juice this Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 11:30am.  Try your hand at plunging our Shiraz grapes harvested this week and see what it's like being a Winemaker at Silver Spoon Estate.

She-Oak Hill
She Oak Hil will be at Barrack Reserve for tastings and wine sales from 4 pm til 8pm Saturday the 6/3
On Sunday the 7/3 they will be in residence at Rutherford&Maine for tastings and sales.
A unique opportunity to purchase wine direct from their award winning vineyard with the convenience of being in the centre of Heathcote for these two days.

Mia Valley Estate
Mia Valley Estate will be open on the March 6-8 long weekend,10am until 5pm. There will be the opportunity for tastings and Cellar Door specials. 

Palling Bros Brewery Heathcote 
Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12pm-late for meals

Heathcote Winery
Heathcote Winery will be offering a sneak pre-release preview of the 2019 Mail Coach Shiraz, the 24th vintage of this iconic wine.
Cellar Door will be open 10.30-4.30pm each day and generous grazing platters are available 12-3pm.

Sanguine Estate
Visit Sanguine Estate this long weekend for seated tastings inside the winery or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking landscape gardens and vineyard views. BYO food and picnic blanket and buy a glass of wine to be enjoyed on the grassed area beside the terrace. Cellar door will be open from 10am to 5pm Sat, Sun and Mon.

Tellurian
Join us for the most vibrant time of year this March Long Weekend - our celebration of harvest. Choose your own flight of four wines from our current release to a lineup of flagship back vintages, take a winery tour (bookings essential) or try your hand at Boules - the game first plated in Provence - with a fresh, cold glass of our Tellurian Rose inspired by the styles of the same region. Opening hours 11am-430pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Wren Estate
Head to Wren Estate this weekend as we are running a special tasting of 3 of our Super Premium Single Block Shirazes.

MChapoutier Cellar Door
Steve Oates is now the winemaker for MChapoutier.
The Cellar Door opening hours are Fri 11am-2pm, Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 10am-5pm. (this weekend they will also be open on Monday 10-4).
They always have a selection of both their Heathcote and French wines for tasting and sales.
